.	With hypochondria, the troublesome aches, pains, minor illnesses etc. that everyone experiences become linked to inner feelings of insecurity and self-doubt. If we have no apparant reason for these feelings, then (serious) illness can provide one. We feel bad; illness feels bad. The worse we feel, the greater the potential illness. We feel (very) bad because we have a serious illness – it stands to reason. And it doesn't matter that all the medical tests and examinations fail to find anything, there must be something seriously wrong with us to feel this bad. Hypochondria is seen in panic disorder, where the symptoms of panic become associated with the belief that something really bad is happening (or going to happen) to our body.	.
