Curing Anxiety Problems Completely

Anxiety problems can overwhelm us and leave us feeling out of control. They feel
as though we are driven to act like this, strengthen with every 'attack' and lead
to constant searching for reasons and answers. Involving self-doubt, insecurity
and fear, they can appear too powerful to deal with.

However, there is a way to understand them that takes away much of this power
... to know what they really are, how they work and why we get them.

And with this insight it is possible to cure anxiety problems naturally ourselves,
without deep therapy or medication; to stop them completely and permanently at
their very core.

*****

What is anxiety?

Imagine you're lying on a beach. It's a beautiful day, the sun is shining and there
is a gentle breeze wafting over your body. Sounds of nature fill the air as you chat
and laugh with family and friends. You are surrounded by people that you love and
respect and who love and respect you. You feel warm, contented and happy,
totally relaxed, anxiety-free.

Now imagine a very different scene. It's the dead of night, you are alone walking
down a dimly-lit alley. There are doorways on either side - who knows what's hiding
in them, waiting to pounce?
You are scared, your senses are heightened - your sight and hearing have become
more sensitive, able to pinpoint the slightest movement or sound. Your breathing
and heartbeat have become more rapid, you feel light-headed and dizzy, want to
go to the toilet or throw up, your limbs feel shaky and your whole body is now
charged with energy, full of anxiety, ready to fight or flee, possibly for your life.

These two scenes represent either end of the anxiety scale. In the first we feel
warm, secure and safe, we are fully relaxed. In the second we are really anxious,
prepared for danger - highly alert and scared.

*

Anxiety is part of being human...

It is a survival instinct that has evolved over millions of years - a series of mind
and body responses that help to warn us of danger and keep us from being hurt.

Everybody feels anxious at times...

But for some of us anxiety grows stronger; it gets out of control and occurs more
easily and more often.

It can become so powerful that it gives rise to other problems such as: persistent
worrying and apprehension, obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours, panic
attacks, irrational fears and phobias, and even severe depression.

... Why does this happen?

The answer to this question holds the key to curing anxiety problems.

However, there has been no real explanation of what causes anxiety, an important
part of human make-up, to become so much stronger and uncontrollable for many
of us.

There has been no satisfactory answer to this question ... until now.

*****

Today - many, many people struggle silently with anxiety problems

... Some search constantly for reasons and answers.

... Others try therapy or medication; diets and supplements; help from others and
self-help, only to feel no better than when they first started, or in some cases,
    even worse.

... Many purchase methods or programs claiming to be the answer, only to be let
    down again.

... Nothing seems to work.

One thing is for sure - Today's treatments aren't working.

Current beliefs about: mental illness, genetics, chemical imbalances, physical
brain differences - and treatments based on these beliefs have failed millions of
people desperate to be cured.

… For they are wrong and don't deal with the real cause at all.

They leave us struggling with symptoms, fighting in the dark, trying to deal with something when we don't even know what it is.

It's like trying to fend off an attacker, blindfolded – not knowing when he will
strike, where he will strike and with what.

… It is an impossible situation.

We simply cannot fight the unknown.

… For whatever we may try, as soon as any symptoms occur, we think that it
isn't working, that it cannot be the answer, and so we continue the never-
ending search for the 'real answer'.

Take, for example: Relaxation.
Nervousness and anxiety are profoundly helped by relaxation, and learning to be
calm. There is no doubt about this - a relaxed body (and mind) cannot be tense
and nervous for they are physiological opposites. Relaxation really is calming - it
is impossible to be relaxed and anxious at the same time.

But many of us just cannot do this, relaxation will not relax us, for at the back of
our mind lies the 'not knowing' those 'what is wrong with me' fears that defeat all
the efforts we make.

And it's not just relaxation, it is everything we try: medication and therapies, foods
and supplements, exercise and self-help techniques ...

Without knowing what is really happening to us - the fear of the unknown
makes these problems simply too powerful to overcome.

IN FACT, given the nature of anxiety problems, we also have to know why
the cure works for it to work.

We may struggle, often for years ... medications and therapies promising to take
away our anxiety and cure us - but they never do.

Before we can truly cure anxiety problems, before we can say goodbye to them
forever ... we need to know what really causes them.

We have to know what we are dealing with … to be able to stop it.

Evolving Self-Confidence

New Book
Evolving Self Confidence
...more details
 .
This is the key ... The key to real freedom.

*****

Knowing what anxiety problems really are and how they
develop and grow - opens up a whole new world.

It becomes possible to:-

• Stop anxious thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
• Remove what actually causes the problem.
• Create a new, more positive way of living.

By using the way our mind and body naturally deals
with insecurity, anxiety and fear.

Once we realise the truth about anxiety problems,
it is possible to cure excessive anxiety (and all the
problems it brings) completely and permanently -
and to do it naturally, without therapy or drugs.
  What is Anxiety?
Anxiety is a protection mechanism that has evolved over
millions of years. It serves to warn us when we are about
to be hurt and to prepare us for action.
And it does this in 2 main ways:-
  1. Our thoughts: We think about potentially dangerous
situations before we get to them - the greatest form of
protection is not to get into these situations in the first place.
This is something seen in many anxiety-related problems,
where we will often avoid situations that make us feel afraid.
  2. Our Body: We become prepared for action (the fight-or-
flight response), physically charged with energy ready to
fight or flee. It is this response that underlies all the physical
symptoms of anxiety that we experience.

All anxiety problems stem from these two actions:

The first one relates to problems involving excessive and
obsessive thinking, planning and worrying - it forms the basis
of anxiety disorders such as: OCD, GAD and depression.
The second one relates to the physical nervousness (being
jittery/jumpy/on-edge) we feel as our body prepares us for
action, and is the basis for social phobias (in fact, almost
  all phobias) and panic disorder.
 .
A New Answer

Until now, there has been no satisfactory answer for these problems - one that
reflects what really happens to us.

Indeed, there is a vast amount of research that proves the current ideas and
theories about genetics, chemical imbalances etc. are, in fact, wrong.

(Take for example: The research on genetics by Barbara McClintock, for
which she received the Nobel Prize. She showed that, far from being fixed,
DNA actually changes with experience. Genes change – they are our past,
not our future … we need not be slaves to our genes!)

Unfortunately, most of the theories today are inaccurate, misleading and overlook
the bigger picture.

As you know, we don't simply wake up one day with an anxiety problem.
It starts off slowly and gets stronger and stronger over time.

Few of us, if any, had these problems as children. Usually just the opposite.
Yet something happens that turns the confidence we had as a child into anxiety.

Something happens to us that takes away our confidence and fills us with insecurity. So much insecurity that anxiety – our self-protection system – kicks in.

And it isn't a defective gene, or an imbalance of chemicals (the neurotransmitters:
Serotonin and Dopamine are usually the ones blamed) or that our brains are
different from 'normal' people.

… It is a whole series of experiences, learning, feelings, thoughts and behaviours
that set the ball rolling toward insecurity and anxiety problems.

… At their heart lies neither illness nor disease and not even disorder for these
problems aren't irrational, they develop for a good reason – for our survival.
They come from our inner-self trying to protect us.

… Far from being a mystery, the development of anxiety problems follow a logical
psychological process and we can map out what happens at every step of the
    way.

… And once we understand this process - we can stop it completely.

*****

Imagine the world of difference this insight will bring.

… No longer trying to deal with the unknown

… No longer fighting blindfolded

Knowing why you think and behave as you do.

… And how to use this knowledge to cure your problem for good.

Not just hoping for some 'miracle cure' or the latest 'wonder drug' to take the problem away.

But having real power over anxiety and real control ... this is the answer.

*****

Evolving Self Confidence represents a breakthrough in understanding and curing
anxiety problems.

Truly unique - it reveals, for the first time, how negative life experiences and the
way they make us think and feel, can combine with deep-down survival instincts to
cause excessive and intangible anxiety. And how, from this, a myriad of problems
and disorders (incl. depression) can develop.

Far from being: mental or physical (brain) illness; caused by genetics or chemical
imbalances in the brain, you'll discover just what these problems really are and
how to use this knowledge to stop them completely.

And you won't have to fight any symptoms at all. (A struggle that actually makes
the real problem worse since it never touches the cause - and as the symptoms
continue, the feelings of insecurity and anxiety simply increase).

For when you remove the cause – the symptoms disappear.

This is the difference between curing and merely coping.

Inside, you will discover:-

•  How stress, conflict, guilt, anger, shame and the voice in our head that tells us
"you can’t" and "you are not good enough" interact to make us feel insecure.

•  How these feelings of insecurity strengthen to become something more, taking
on a very different form that sensitizes us to danger.

•  How this increased sensitivity to threat and danger causes anxiety to 'kick-in'
    in order to protect us.

•  The way this anxiety builds up and up to form severe anxiety disorders and
    chronic depression.

And this is not just speculation or guesswork.

These ideas are supported by some of the most important research ever carried
out in the fields of Medicine, Psychiatry and Psychology.
From the classic experiments on conditioning by Pavlov and the development of
fears by Mineka through to the research on anxiety disorders today, by Barlow
– a new understanding emerges.

… One that offers a real cure.

Incorporating some of the most successful elements of Cognitive Behavioural
Therapy, this is no superficial method to relieve mild anxiety, but a tried and
tested solution for long-standing, deep-rooted anxiety problems. One that deals
with where the anxiety actually comes from in the first place.

So powerful is the information
in this book that therapists
recommend it to their clients.

Some even recommend that the book be used in the on-going training for therapists as part of their continued personal development (CPD).
  *****  Excellent!
As a practitioner I have recommended this book to
many of my clients- it is both well written,
accessible, very well researched and informative-
no jargon, easy to read, and helpful. I am so glad

Knowing the cause of your problem really does change things.

A great weight lifts from your shoulders when you realise that you are not dealing
with some strange powerful problem that has no answer or cure.

But this is only the beginning …

Anxiety problems become so powerful because we cannot control them.

The trembling, sweating and dizziness, the worrying thoughts and fears – all appear
driven from somewhere deep within. They are hard to understand and even harder
to control.

Now, in Evolving Self Confidence, you will learn exactly what is happening
to you and why.

… All the symptoms, thoughts, feelings and behaviours are explained in such detail
   that the mystery is removed.

Here's just a glimpse into the insight you'll gain:-

•  Thousands of people with racing hearts visit hospital emergency departments
each year fearing a heart attack, only to be told that it's due to an anxiety or
   panic attack.

Why does our heart speed up so?
... Anxiety and panic prepare us to deal with danger, either to fight or run away
(the 'fight-or-flight' response). The heart beats faster to pump oxygen (fuel)
more quickly to the major muscle groups (arms, legs, chest) to provide them
with an energy boost for fighting or fleeing.
The greater the danger, the quicker we need energy to take action – so the
       faster the heart pumps.

This is also why our breathing becomes shallow and fast – to take oxygen in
   more quickly.

Other physical symptoms such as: feeling shaky and on-edge, trembling, nausea,
   sweating, dizziness
etc. can also be explained in relation to the fight-or-flight
   response.

•  You may be surprised at the number of psychological symptoms associated
with anxiety problems. These range from small indicators of insecurity such as:
dressing down, failure to maintain eye contact and constantly comparing
ourselves to others, through to more severe behaviours, including: avoidance,
   perfectionism, hypochondria and sexual problems.

… However, you'll be even more surprised to discover that one thing drives all
      of these symptoms.

•  One of the greatest experiments ever performed in Psychology shows us the
real reason that anxiety problems get worse over time. Not because they are
such powerful problems that need better treatment or a stronger drug - but
simply due to the normal way our mind deals with unresolved anxiety.
... Understanding this alone can stop your problem getting worse.

•  Learn how anxiety problems change and become more severe. How different
disorders develop. Why someone gets GAD and another person OCD, or someone
develops panic disorder instead of social phobia ... discover the relationship that
exists between all anxiety problems and disorders (incl. depression) and what
   leads to a particular one.

•  There is a good reason why anxiety problems become part of us – an integral
part of the way we think and act. Research from the prestigious University
College London confirms how this happens and can reassure you that these
problems don't mean there is something physically wrong with your brain.

•  Everyone gets depressed at times. Discover those feelings that make the
difference between the normal depression most people experience and the
unremitting hopelessness and helplessness that characterize the chronic form.

•  Society, the media and religion - all these things can make anxiety problems
worse … but there are things we do ourselves, when trying to cope with these
problems, that actually make them stronger. When you stop doing these things
your problem will start to fade.

• Why doesn't medication work?
Pills work on a physical level, anxiety problems are psychological and the cure
is psychological. Although they have their use for symptom relief, discover why
prescription drugs can never be a cure and how long-term medication only makes
the underlying cause of anxiety problems worse.

•  Go to any Doctor, Psychiatrist or Psychologist and ask them what causes
the swirling, uncontrollable thoughts associated with excessive worry and
obsessions – chances are they cannot tell you. But there is research with
insomniacs (people unable to sleep because of uncontrollable thoughts) that
   gives us the answer.

• Why do people with addictions and compulsions have to do things again and
again and again, even though it may be hurting them? There is no answer in
any current literature – but you'll find it in Evolving Self Confidence.

Now, you can use this insight to stop
your problem for good.
  Dear Help-For,

I've just started reading Evolving Self Confidence
and I am blown away by it. You describe my
  circumstances and experiences (childhood etc)
EXACTLY, and at last -there's hope for me!
Somebody understands! It all made perfect
sense as I read it, and suddenly the panic
attacks, anxiety and agoraphobia that have
plagued me for the last 11 years didn't seem
so 'mad' after all. Under the circumstances, it all
  seemed perfectly understandable.
I haven't finished the book yet: I just wanted you
to know that I'm finding it to be an amazing help
already. I'm a trained counsellor, philosopher,
writer and college lecturer - and all that helped
me not one bit (in fact, may have hindered me
A LOT!) But your book has so far been a God
send, so thank you, thank you for writing it.

  Kind regards
  Julie
. .
 .

In the final part of the book, you'll discover how to heal anxiety problems
completely.

Using natural mind and body processes that reverse the effects of long-term
anxiety and remove the feelings of insecurity, you are guided through simple,
effective techniques to:-

1) Stop anxious thoughts, feelings and behaviours (no matter how long you
    have suffered).
Discover how to stop fighting the anxiety and 'let go' - the only true way to
weaken those anxiety connections in your brain that keep the problem so strong.

2) Turn fear into confidence.
Learn how to do it naturally, as nature intended – the way children do it.

3) Develop strong positive feelings.
Understand lifestyle changes that can induce strong positive feelings deep inside.
Performed with the right knowledge, these can relieve anxiety problems better
    than any medication.

Take, for example: Exercise.
Recent research has shown that exercise can provide relief from depression better
than SSRI’s (medication). But many people try exercise without success – they try
to force it to work and feel more hopeless when it doesn't.

Here's where a little bit of extra knowledge makes all the difference.

Once we understand depression and how we come to feel that everything we do is
hopeless and doomed to fail, so much so that we no longer try. And how because
of this our body stops producing energy – such that we get into a cycle of not doing
things and having no energy to even try, we can see how exercise can help. (Not cure – but help).

With exercise, we are doing something. At the level of our inner-self we are taking
action and our body will now start to provide us with more energy naturally.

Therefore, just performing exercise (always seek professional guidance before
starting exercise regimes) can actually help depression better than drugs. Experts
have proved it in case after case.

It also works with anxiety, for again – at the level of the inner-self - we are actually
taking a form of action rather than doing nothing or just worrying about things.
Exercise also provides a release for some of the nervous energy in anxiety.

SO - just exercise, don't connect it to your problems at all and you will begin to feel
more positive and have more energy.
There are other things, described in the book, that multiply these effects.
Again, they work best when you don't connect them to your problem at all.

4) Feel really good about yourself.
With the right knowledge and performed in the correct way, these actions will
instil deep feelings of goodness within you and start to dissolve insecurity.

There are a number of methods described in the book. One of the most powerful
group of techniques is described by the acronym HAPPY.

Here, 'H' stands for helping others. When you truly help other people, without
    expecting anything in return
– it cannot fail to make you feel really good about
    yourself deep inside.

Once again, there are so many natural things you can do (simple things that
don't even require you to think about your problem) that can transform how you
feel about yourself and start to replace those inner anxieties with confidence.

.
 .
   *****  Innovative and Correct
Based on my personal experiences this unique book's explanation of the cause and cure for
anxiety, OCD, and depression is innovative and correct. I am successfully recovering from a
forty year long midlevel depression and anxiety disorder and "Evolving Self-Confidence" is
guiding my way. This book helped me in a manner more effective, more understandable,
more relatable, more articulate, and more precise than any of my experiences with other
self-help books, psychiatrists, psychologists, university professors, advising loved ones and
friends, presentations and workshops, medications and nutritional supplements, or any other
  source of treatment.
If those suffering from depression, anxiety, and other emotional issues take their condition
seriously and they embrace the theories and treatment outlined in "Evolving Self-Confidence"
this book will greatly improve their lives and possibly change society for the better.
