It takes us on a journey from childhood to adult, through the experiences, thoughts
and feelings that can lead to the development of these problems. How they evolve and grow, which disorders develop and why, how we strengthen them
and how they become part of us.
And then, the answer ... how to turn them around, to evolve and grow through them, beyond them to become stronger and wiser for our experiences ... beyond
them to become the unique, worthy individual that it is our birthright to be.

PART I - THE CAUSE:
Explains how anxiety disorders (and depression problems) develop and grow:-
• The influence of our parents / parent-parent conflict / parent-child conflict and
entanglement with our parents.
• The development of self-talk (the scourge of all these problems) and the role of
genetics.
• Truly new insight into anger, guilt and shame and how we start to feel bad at the
level of our inner-self. The 'special' feeling that starts it all. (1st stage)
• The influence of: school (including, for some, bullying), friends, adolescence and
significant others.
• Why we start to feel nervous and anxious for much of the time. Becoming really
self-conscious and what it means. (2nd stage)
• How nervousness and anxiety becomes panic. Anxiety, fear and panic explained
like never before. The importance of the panic attack and why it means more to
some people than others. (3rd stage)
• A totally new concept, the role of 'how to be'. Feeling 'not good enough', having
to be better in some way. Why this develops and how it interplays with anxiety
and panic to shape the type of disorder we experience. (4th and final stage).
(A classic example is Anorexia Nervosa, where having to be better = being thin).
Each type of anxiety disorder has its own 'how to be' that drives it.
• Why these problems become so overwhelming and feel too powerful to deal with.

PART II - THE PROBLEM:
Unique insight into how these problems work.
• A new explanation of anxiety disorders: how they develop step-by-step. What
happens at each stage and why. For example, some people may stay at stage 2
and lead lives ruled by nervousness and anxiety; by shyness or the stress that
results from a desperate need to achieve and attain; others may turn to food for
comfort and live lives of constant dieting. Many other people go on through stages
3 and 4 and develop full-blown anxiety 'disorders' - not just the five main problems
classified as anxiety disorders today (OCD, GAD, PTSD, Panic Disorder and Social
Phobia) but other related problems such as BDD, self-harm, eating disorders and
depressive illnesses. ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS DEVELOP IN THE SAME WAY.- Why
we get a particular one.
• Anxiety disorder symptoms explained. How they are related just as the disorders
themselves are. Why we experience the same type of symptoms regardless of our
'disorder'. What underlies them all.
[The symptoms explained include: avoidance / child-like / comparing / denial /
fantasising / hypochondria / illness / ordering / paranoia / perfectionism / physical
symptoms / procrastination / self-consciousness / self-worth (posture, dress) /
social interactions (eye contact, anger and aggression, communicating styles,
problems with authority, loneliness, psychological sex problems, time-keeping) /
sleep problems / thinking too much.]
• What our mind and body are trying to do in: Body Dismorphic Disorder (BDD) (and
Trichotillomania) / Depression / Eating Disorders (Anorexia Nervosa, Emotional
Eating, Constant Dieting, Bulimia) / Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) (inc. worry)/
Manic-Depressive Illness / Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) (incl: cleanliness,
addictions, hoarding, Tourette Syndrome) / Panic Disorder (incl: Agoraphobia) /
Phobias (specific) / Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) / Self-Harm / Social
Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia) (incl: shyness) / Stress (incl: workplace stress).
• How current beliefs and treatments can make the real problem worse.

About Evolving Self Confidence...
"I agree with the concept. So far it has worked wonderfully ... there are a lot of parts to anxiety that I never realized were associated with the
problem. I just thought it was more problems I had. Recognizing them the way in which you did, really helps"
...SC, MI, USA

PART III - THE ANSWER:
When we are no longer trying to fight the unknown, and know exactly what is happening and why, we can use this new understanding to cure the very cause
of these problems, not just struggle to control the symptoms.
• Breaking the thoughts - feelings - behaviour cyle. How to let go of obsessive
thinking and 'disordered' behaviours, based on the way our mind works. How to
stop fighting and strengthening them, to let them fade away.
• Simple practical things we can do to become more positive deep inside. Things
anyone can do, that you can start to do straight away to alleviate your problem.
• The way to change what we feel deeply about ourselves at the level of our inner-
self.
• Understanding change, what it is and how to let it be. To realise what is happening
with setbacks, why they occur and how to get past them.
• Follow these techniques and your problem will become a thing of the past. You will
become more positive and self-assured and wonder how you ever used to think and
behave as you did. Your life will change; indeed your world will change: from one
ruled by anxiety and fear to one of love, acceptance and self-belief.

About Evolving Self Confidence...
"the treatment is very fresh and powerful. After reading it I can't tell you how hopeful I am for the
future"...JH, Ontario, Canada
...............................................................................................................
Long term anxiety and panic, phobias, OCD and depression can leave us feeling helpless and that there is nothing that
can be done or we can do to be free of them.
Years of searching - finding what seem to be answers, trying ways to think, trying ways to behave, 'get well quick' ideas, therapy, medication etc. can leave us
no better off, or worse than at the beginning ... but it doesn't have to be like this.
When we know what these problems really are, we can stop them completely.
Evolving Self Confidence shows you step-by-step how to do it.
